she's sick

I always know when my kids are sick. They first get sluggish, then glassy-eyed, and finally they sleep. We were about to go out the door to church yesterday when Jane said, "My tummy hurts." So, we get undressed and Jane spends all day on the couch with a fever. This morning she vomited. Low-grade fever. Late morning she was happy and fine. We go to get Ethan and the park and she deteriorated. High temperature. We barely made it home. I so wanted her to be well by tomorrow so she could go on the field trip.

Lara, I'll take anything you can give me to make scouts more bearable. Every time I have to miss scouts or it is vacation I get soooo happy. I am counting down the days till summer vacation. No scouts till the fall. The majority of people leave the city during the summer so no scouts to have pack meetings. [because there are so few scouts all the dens are combined each week, thus the pack meetings.]

Tice, I have a great cookie recipe. It is the recipe for Neiman Marcus cookies and as a result makes about 100 cookies. I just make it when I have to bring cookies to a function. If you want it I'll type it up for you. I'm not a big cookie fan but I love these.

We finally have an appointment with the social worker who is going to schedule the speech and language and psychological testing on Jane. Hopefully by the end of the month the testing will be finished. Then we have to decide what to do with her after the results are in. I still am clueless as to what to do.

Comments:
I hope Jane feels better and that all of she gets through her testing.

I would love the recipe. Perhaps I can whittle it down to make less than 100 cookies. Do you have my email?
